• Trials include a preview of up to two styles per person

• Trials typically take 60-90 minutes for the trial, plus 15 minutes for set up & 15 minutes for clean up. Your trial appointment will be scheduled for a 2 hour block, although it may or may not take this entire time.

• We do not recommend scheduling your trial on the same date of an actual event (such as engagement photos, bridal shower or rehearsal) since we will likely be trying out more than one style, your hair will not be “event ready.” The trial is designed to give you a preview of what your wedding hair will look like and try out a few different options if you’re unsure.

• If you are using clip-in extensions on the wedding day, please have them ready to use at your trial as well so you can see your full completed look and get a true test for the longevity of the style. If you are using any other type of extensions, we do recommend also having them installed for your trial.

If anyone other than the bride would like to schedule a hair trial prior to the wedding day, please email or have the guests email hello@kimikonewyork.com

Include the following information:

1. Guest(s) first and last name

2. How many people would like to have a hair trial within the same appointment day and location

3. What time you would like your trial to start and/or what time you need to be done by

4. The exact address where the trial will take place

5. An email address for the guest(s) if you are emailing on their behalf

6. The best phone number to reach the guest(s) for the trial

Add on extension styling to your service. You can come with them pre-installed or Carina can install clip-in extensions for you. Extensions are not provided. Clip in extensions must be washed, cut or trimmed & completely dried beforehand. See FAQs below for extension recommendations

We totally understand that emergencies happen. Here is my cancellation policy for trials:

Please provide written notice via email to cancel your appointment.

Trials must be paid in full seven days prior to the appointment.

Retainer fees are non-refundable.

Trials cancelled 5 days or more in advance - client may rebook any trial that has been paid in full for no additional charge other than any applicable travel fees due to change in appointment. For trials that have not been paid in full, the full retainer fee may be applied to the new trial date.

Trials cancelled 2 to 4 days in advance - retainer is not refunded & client must pay an additional 20% of the current trial rate to book a new appointment 

Trials cancelled less than 48 hours in advance - retainer is not refunded & client must pay the full current trial rate to book a new appointment

*Additional travel fees may apply depending on the date and time of the new trial appointment

Please note - there is a different cancellation policy for the wedding day, rehearsal, welcome party, or any related wedding event other than the trial. Please refer to your contract for the full policy.
